Christmas street

Christmas street

Merry Christmas everyone! Every house on this street is decorated and the lights are synchronized to the music. It’s worth being stuck in the traffic parade to see once each year. Hope you are enjoying the holidays!

No sun at all today. No blizzard today either. (hehe Colorado) Just seems like it’s dark all the time now. Of course that makes getting night photos and seeing the elaborate Christmas light displays all over my neighborhood easier. Still, I prefer a lot more light during reasonable waking hours. 😉

Abrupt subject change: The new G+. Ugh. I’m trying to make it work because the fact that Google bothered to do anything with it all indicates to me that they are not about to abandon it (soon anyway). Forced into using Collections – ok fine. Did that. Hate that finding photos of mine or anyone else’s not in collections is way too hard. Stream never updates. Of course there are… drastically fewer posts in my stream than ever before. I realize it’s mostly people throwing in the towel and not the old bug. (I think so anyway.) Just sad. Burying circles in settings to choose to view – why? Why? I can’t even find where to turn it on in ipad settings. Metadata is mostly hidden now, again, why? Takes so many more clicks to do anything – post, see who interacted on my posts, view photos, find anything. I just don’t get it, I guess. It’s so much harder to figure out now. I gather that means new users aren’t being courted. Is it just me? Is everyone else delighted? Or just gone?

Jacksonville boat parade. There were more than 70 boats. It was also nearly 70 degrees all night. Ahhh, Florida, you have your perks. 🙂

It was just a really nice fireworks show until the bridges started to melt before our eyes. Then came the gasps and applause and an incredible finale. Jacksonville does fireworks right.
